2007 South Boston Fire-EMS

Awards Banquet

In 2007 Andrew Richardson, Jr. received both the Fireman of the Year and the Chief's award.

The Fireman of the Year award is determined by a majority vote by the company. This award is special because it is for the fireman who's fellow fire fighters think has done a great deal for the company in the past year.

The Chief's award.  The Chief's award is given to the member who has done the most for the company in the past year. Unlike other awards this is not voted on by the company but determined by the company's records. The following is counted:

  • Fire Calls Attended
  • EMS Calls Attended
  • Total Hours of Training (ie. EMT, Fire Fighter I, Instructor I, etc.)

Achieving both awards required a lot of dedication and hard work.

Congratulations Andrew!
